Education Ministers ready to boost future Erasmus+ and enhance cooperation

The European University Association (EUA) welcomes the willingness of EU Member States to significantly increase the budget for the future Erasmus+ programme after 2020. EUA calls on universities to take urgent action in Djalali case

EUA is asking its many members to speak out in the case of Dr. Ahmadreza Djalali, a scholar of disaster medicine who is facing execution in Iran. Iran’s Supreme Court recently confirmed Dr. Djalali’s death sentence, stripped him of his right to an appeal and rejected a recent request to review his case. Dr. Djalali is a Swedish resident based in Italy and Belgium who was imprisoned while participating in a workshop in Iran. More...

Erasmus+: European Commission publishes midterm evaluation report

On 31 January 2018, the European Commission published the external midterm evaluation report of the Erasmus+ programme. The report, “Combined evaluation of Erasmus+ and predecessor programmes”, is accompanied by the Commission’s own report and a staff working paper. They provide evidence for discussions both on the midterm review and on the development of the post-2020 programme. EUA finds that the external report provides extensive documentation and analyses, however some important findings are not even based on Erasmus+, but on its predecessor programmes. More...

STREAM online training and good practice platform for admissions officers now updated
