Transnational higher education cooperation: examples on building sport and language skills

When it comes to language skills, 31 language-related projects have been selected so far in the field of Higher Education..A good example is CoMoViWo Communication in Mobile and Virtual Work, a project coordinated by the Turku University of Applied Sciences that aims to define the skills needed in virtual and mobile work in a multicultural environment. The European Language Label: supporting language learning for a lifetime

The European Language Label initiative, launched by the European Commission in 2002, rewards excellence and innovation in language learning. Erasmus+ supports the Label and wants to spread the word about inspiring winners.
Most of the Erasmus+ National Agenciesregularly award the European Language Label (ELL) to local, regional, national or European projects. These stand-out projects have found creative ways to improve the quality of language teaching and motivate students. They may also make the best use of available resources to diversify the languages on offer, or have taken other innovative steps to improve language learning. More...

Celebrate the European Day of Languages on 26 September!

The European Day of Languages (EDL) aims to promote the linguistic richness of a continent with over 200 languages - including 24 official EU languages, about 60 regional/minority languages and many more spoken by people from other parts of the world. Celebrating this day is a chance to raise awareness of the wide variety of languages in Europe and encourage people of all ages to learn new languages. The European Day of Languages was established in 2001 by the European Commission and the Council of Europe and involves language and cultural institutes, associations, universities and schools. Being a European apprentice has never been easier

Commission launches online tool to help integrate newly arrived non-EU nationals

Ukrainian and European organisations join forces to promote women in society

The EFEB Network (European Region Entrepreneurship Connection) brings EU partners from Greece, Spain, Latvia, Germany and the UK, together with 2 organisations from Georgia and Ukraine, on the topic of women's entrepreneurship. The objective of this Strategic Partnership is to train and mentor would-be female entrepreneurs and develop their entrepreneurship skills. To achieve this, the project's partners organised training webinars. The Ukrainian NGO, Agricola, which has been supporting women’s businesses since 2007, has shared its expertise in the module on product eco-innovation: the integration of environmental awareness in product design and development with the aim to improve performance throughout a product’s life cycle. The European Commission launched today an EU-wide contest for a prestigious "Altiero Spinelli Prize for Outreach: Spreading Knowledge about Europe".
