First Learning and Teaching Forum: European universities to discuss active learning and innovative teaching

Registrations open for “European Universities in the Energy Transition: Towards a Clean Energy Future”, 23-24 October 2017

As a result of extensive work with more than 100 companies and 200 universities, an overview of the first pan-European attempt to address the skills gap between higher education provision and needs and expectations of the business sector for the energy transition will be given. The UNI-SET consortium will present recommendations for universities, companies and policymakers for the design of energy education and research activities in the fields of energy efficiency in buildings and in industry, energy systems and smart cities, and on the integration of renewable energies. Register now: Workshop on “Universities in regional innovation ecosystems: coherent policies for Europe beyond 2020”

The workshop is organised in the framework of the activities of the Estonian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, with the goal to develop a series of recommendations for actions to improve the effectiveness of European regional research and innovation funds, both at governance and operational levels. Access and admission at the centre of the discussions in the Mastermind project’s final conference

The “Renewed EU Agenda for Higher Education”, launched on 30 May, outlines the European Commission’s policy priorities for higher education over the next few years. It focuses on four key areas, which include tackling future skills mismatches and promoting excellence in skills development; building inclusive and connected higher education systems; ensuring higher education institutions contribute to innovation; and supporting effective and efficient higher education systems.
