Disillusion among Chinese has HE sector on edge

Higher education body closes 110 PhD programmes

Des demandeurs d’emploi qui travaillent - quelles sont les trajectoires des demandeurs d’emploi en activité réduite ?

Les demandeurs d’emploi qui exercent une activité rémunérée parallèlement à leur recherche d’emploi sont de plus en plus nombreux : ils étaient en moyenne 1,7 million chaque mois en 2014. Parmi eux, un tiers n’est pas éligible à l’assurance chômage, un autre tiers cumule salaire d’activité et allocation chômage tandis que le dernier tiers dépasse les seuils de cumul (salaire ou volume horaire mensuels trop élevés). Si l’activité réduite a été pensée comme un tremplin vers l’emploi, un certain nombre de demandeurs d’emploi y ont recours de façon récurrente.
L’analyse des trajectoires des demandeurs d’emploi indemnisables ayant exercé une activité réduite entre 2012 et 2014 fait apparaître sept modes de recours à l’activité réduite. Dans les trois quarts des cas, elle est utilisée de façon ponctuelle. Cependant, un quart des trajectoires présente un recours fréquent et prolongé à l’activité réduite. Dans ce cadre, elle intervient, dans 8 % des cas, après une longue période de chômage pour assurer un complément de revenu, alors que l’allocation chômage est très faible. L’activité réduite est aussi utilisée, dans 6 % des cas, de façon intense et régulière, pour des trajectoires professionnelles proches de l’intérim et de l’intermittence, reflet des mutations du marché du travail.
