A l'invitation du professeur Remus Pricopie - un membre du Conseil d'administration de l'AIU - le groupe de travail sur les TIC de l'AIU s'est réuni à l'Université nationale d'études politiques et d'administration publique à Bucarest, Roumanie, du 19 au 20 janvier 2016. La réunion avait pour objectif de jeter les bases de la future stratégie de l'AIU en matière de TIC. La thématique des TIC est l'une des quatre thématiques prioritaires définie par le Conseil d'administration de l'AIU pour la période 2017-2020 aux côtés du leadership universitaire, de l'internationalisation dans l'enseignement supérieur, et de l'enseignement supérieur et de la recherche pour le développement.
Le groupe de travail était composé de membres du Conseil d'administration de l'AIU de Jordanie, Kenya, Malaisie, Mexique, Roumanie, et des USA, d'experts de l'Association des Universités africaines, G3ICT, OER Africa, Open Society Foundations, Université ouverte de Catalogne, et de l'UNESCO, et de deux représentantes du Secrétariat de l'AIU: Eva Egron-Polak, Secrétaire générale et Isabelle Turmaine, Directeur des Projets et Services d'Information. Dans le cadre du nouveau partenariat signé avec L’Etudiant – une revue spécialisée en enseignement supérieur -, l'AIU aura un stand au Salon Partir étudier à l'étranger de l'Etudiant qui aura lieu à Paris, France, du 30 au 31 janvier 2016.
L'équipe de l'AIU qui sera présente sur le Salon utilisera la base de données de l'AIU sur l'enseignement supérieur dans le monde WHED pour informer les étudiants sur les possibilités d'études à l'étranger dans le pays et la matière de leur choix. Elle répondra aussi aux questions sur l'Association.

At the invitation of Prof. Remus Pricopie - an IAU Administrative Board Member - the IAU Task Force on ICT met at the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration in Bucharest, Romania, from 19 to 20 January 2016. It discussed the content of IAU's future ICT strategy.
