At the invitation of Prof. Remus Pricopie - an IAU Administrative Board Member - the IAU Task Force on ICT met at the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration in Bucharest, Romania, from 19 to 20 January 2016. It discussed the content of IAU's future ICT strategy. ICT is one of the 4 upcoming priorities set by IAU Administrative Board for the period 2017-2020 alongside HE leadership, internationalisation of HE, and HE and research for development.
The Task Force was composed of IAU Board Members from Jordan, Kenya, Malaysia, Mexico, Romania, and the US, experts from the Association of African Universities, G3ICT, OER Africa, Open Society Foundations, Open University of Catalonia, and UNESCO, and two representatives from IAU Secretariat: Eva Egron-Polak, IAU Secretary-General and Isabelle Turmaine, IAU Director, Information Projects and Services.
