A new ad campaign by Massey University has set off a debate over the strategy being used by the New Zealand university. Various ads portray students with an “I am…” tag line. An ad being both criticized and defended (at right) features a female student appearing to walk on water in a sundress. The ad says “I am a game changer.” A column in Waikato Times called the student a “pixie vixen” and made fun of the idea that this approach would attract students. Read more...

Just 256 of the 3,118 high school students who were offered a spot in the University of Florida's Pathway to Campus Enrollment program, or PaCE, have taken the deal, The Gainesville Sun reported. PaCE is an attempt by the university to use UF Online, its recently created online arm, to increase campus enrollment without placing further strain on its physical campus resources. A lawyer for a student at George Washington University who was suspended for putting a swastika on his fraternity's bulletin board says that the suspension has been rescinded and the student is now free to return to the university.
