Australian universities to help boost US study abroad

Government issues legitimate university courses list

Kenya’s Commission for University Education, or CUE, has published a list of more than 1,000 approved programmes at universities, in an effort to end rows over unaccredited courses and learners obtaining degrees that are not recognised. Confronté à une situation budgétaire de plus en plus tendue, le gouvernement vient de décider de réduire d'environ 70 millions d'euros les montants alloués à l'enseignement supérieur et la recherche. Une mesure que la Conférence des présidents d'université (CPU) juge "incompréhensible" : "Capacités d'accueil réduites, taux d'encadrement qui se dégradent, formations fermées : ce seront les conséquences de cette diminution de moyens, au détriment de la réussite des étudiants", s'indigne-t-elle.
