Le Réseau IAE est présent, depuis quelques mois maintenant, sur différents réseaux sociaux et notamment sur Facebook. Notre community manager réalise régulièrement des sondages afin de connaitre l'opinion des fans de la page. N'hésitez pas à aller faire un tour sur notre fan page pour y répondre!
Le dernier en date porte sur les IAE et leur présence sur les réseaux sociaux. En effet, en Mars dernier, un sondage a montré que de nombreux fans estimaient que la présence des IAE sur les médias sociaux n'est pas assez développée.Puis en Mai, nous vous avions demandé quel type de présence les IAE devraient avoir sur les réseaux sociaux. Afin d'en savoir un peu sur vos idées à ce sujet, ce sondage vous invitait à nous dire quel type de présence vous souhaitez pour les IAE. Des messages journaliers? réguliers? Facebook seulement? Facebook et Twitter? Facebook, Twitter et autres? Etc...
Aujourd'hui, nous renoulevons ce sondage afin d'obtenir plus de répondants et donc des résultats mieux représentatifs de votre opinion ! The 8th European Quality Assurance Forum (EQAF) will take place at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, on 21-23 November 2013
The European Quality Assurance Forum has been co-organised by ENQA, ESU, EUA and EURASHE since 2006. It provides a unique platform for the higher education and quality assurance (QA) communities to monitor, shape and anticipate developments in the field. The main purpose of the Forum is to foster a dialogue on QA that bridges national boundaries and leads to a common European understanding of QA through discussions and networking among different stakeholder groups.
Through a mix of plenary and parallel sessions, the 2013 EQAF, entitled “Working together to take quality forward”, will combine practice-oriented or research-based discussions that will take place in the paper sessions and workshops with presentations of current developments in quality assurance. This year the Forum will specifically explore how both individuals and organisations can better understand the role that quality assurance can play in their daily lives, get engaged and work together to take quality forward.

What is the purpose of social science?
How can social science make itself relevant to the intractable problems facing humanity in the twenty-first century?
The social sciences are under threat from two main sources. One is external, reflected in a global university crisis that imposes the marketization of higher education on the ancient practice of scholarship. The other, internal threat is social science's withdrawal from publicly–engaged teaching and research into the protective bunker of disciplinarity. In articulating a vision for the public role of social science in the twenty-first century, John Brewer argues that these threats also constitute an opportunity for a new public social science to emerge, confident in its public value and fully engaged with the future of humanity in its teaching, research and civic responsibilities, while also remaining committed to science. The Higher Education Academy (HEA) is to sign Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) with two important higher education organisations in Australia, marking its increasing work, influence and cooperation in learning and teaching internationally.
The Office for Learning and Teaching (OLT), was established by the Australian Government in 2011 to promote and support change in higher education institutions for the enhancement of learning and teaching. The HEA has agreed to work with the OLT to foster the exchange of expertise, experience and resources between the respective national higher education communities to share and embed good practice. Specific areas of focus for the two organisations will include internationalisation, assessment, and strategic approaches to learning and teaching which enhance student access and progression, and respond to student diversity.
Suzi Hewlett, General Manager of the OLT, said, “This MOU is a great opportunity for two similarly focused organisations to share ideas, best practice and research across our respective academic communities and also to work closely on projects to support the recognition and development of excellent teaching. Our collaboration aims to have a positive impact on the learning and teaching experience for students in both countries and our region.”
The HEA will also sign an MOU with the prestigious Australian National University (ANU), which is ranked in the top 50 in the Times Higher World University Ranking 2012-13. The HEA and ANU will work together in recognising professionalism in teaching through HEA Fellowships to ANU staff who meet the appropriate requirements, specifically exploring using the model of the United Kingdom Professional Standards Framework (UKPSF) in an Australian context. Flexible learning (FL) is re-emerging as an important way in which higher education might respond to many of the challenges students face, especially, but not exclusively, at undergraduate level. Yet there is little common agreement about what FL is, how it can be developed, who the likely beneficiaries are, and whether there are any common principles and good practices that need to be established. The FL agenda is not simply of relevance to HE: employers are considering ways in which they too can incorporate greater flexibility, and both sectors are wanting to explore how their respective interests can be mutually addressed. As we move further into the 21st century, greater flexibility is envisaged through an increase in work-based learning, part-time study, adult and mature learners, and the use of technology. The 2012 winner in the category “MENA Business Cases”(Middle East and North Africa), sponsored by HEC Paris in Qatar is:

Beamish and Bassam Farah, Richard Ivey School of Business, USA and it examines how a Lebanese multinational wood company confronts a drastic drop in its largest subsidiary's sales after the global economic crisis. The case provides ample material to review motivations for internationalization, different “international” strategies, crisis management, growth strategies, market entry, entry timing, and SWOT. On 14 December 2010 ECA members launched the Multilateral Agreement on the Mutual Recognition of Accreditation Results regarding Joint Programmes (MULTRA). The purpose of the MULTRA is to simplify the accreditation and recognition of joint programmes and degrees awarded and to provide an efficient way to expand mutual recognition to more countries.
For the first time, MULTRA has been signed by a non-European Agency: Consejo Nacional de Acreditación (CNA), Republic of Colombia. In the same month MULTRA was also signed by a German accreditation agency: Agentur für Qualitätssicherung durch Akkreditierung von Studiengängen e.V. (AQAS). Read more...

Accreditation organisations reaffirm that Higher Education Institutions (HEI) are responsible for the quality assurance of their study programmes. This means that the main accountability for setting and defining Learning Outcomes (LO) lies in the hand of the HEI.
The practices gathered in this document are the output of the experience of different ECA organisations that have analysed how they apply the principles on learning outcomes in their accreditation procedures.

ECA’s first contribution on this matter included the ECA General principles regarding learning outcomes in accreditation procedures. Memorandum of Cooperation between the Asia-Pacific Quality Network (APQN) and the European Consortium for Accreditation in higher education (ECA)
A Memorandum of Cooperation has been signed between the Asia-Pacific Quality Network (APQN) and the European Consortium for Accreditation in higher education (ECA).
This Memorandum is intended to facilitate cooperation between APQN and ECA and to set the basis for common projects in areas of mutual interest and benefit. These areas are: Mutual learning from each other and regular sharing of ideas and experiences; Mutual recognition of quality assurance decisions; Facilitation of cross-border higher education and quality assurance; Promotion of internationalisation of HEIs and of mobility of students; Establishing transparency tools in the area of HE and quality assurance; Striving towards excellence and professionalism in our own work; Developing modern accreditation external quality assurance systems; and Exchange of ideas, resources and experts in quality assurance. The JOQAR Dissemination Conference "Quality Assurance and Recognition of Joint Programmes: The Art and the Passion" took place in Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid on 20-21 June 2013. The JOQAR project is co-funded by the European Commission and is the acronym of: Joint programmes - Quality Assurance and Recognition of degrees awarded.
Today, quality assurance and recognition of joint programmes is still a major challenge. The conference provided higher education institutions, recognition authorities, quality assurance and accreditation agencies, and policy makers with the latest update on the solutions developed by the European Consortium for Accreditation (ECA) in the framework of the JOQAR project.
