Orange France has launched Solerni, a platform to create and host Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC), Orangeinfo.fr reports. The operator has will start its first MOOC, "Digital, lets live it together", on 31 March, with sessions on different themes running weekly for 10 weeks. Solerni is aimed at businesses of all sizes that want to design and publish MOOCs or any other type of online collaboration, notably for a francophone public. Online courses are rapidly emerging within educational institutions across the country — and you don’t have to look much further than our University to see why. In fact, the number of classes taught completely online jumped from 1.4 percent to 5.3 percent over the last few years, according to Faye Lesht, head of the division of academic outreach at the Office of Online and Continuing Education. La plateforme de MOOC vient de dépasser la barre symbolique des 200 000 inscriptions depuis son lancement, certains cours en ligne massifs et gratuits se révélant être particulièrement attrayants.
Il est trop tôt pour parler de succès, mais la plateforme est bien lancée. France Université Numérique vient de dépasser la barre des 200 000 inscriptions, maintenant ainsi sa bonne dynamique. En effet, trois semaines après son lancement, le 28 octobre dernier, la plateforme proposant des cours en ligne massifs et ouverts comptait 35 000 inscrits. Deux mois plus tard, elle faisait état de 88 000 personnes inscrites pour suivre un des 25 MOOC proposés, soit plus de 3 300 inscrits en moyenne par cours en ligne. Suite...
