La formation tout au long de la vie : une véritable mission de service public !
Le présent numéro de Limousin Université met en évidence la diversité de l'offre de formation continue au sein de notre université. La formation tout au long de la vie est un enjeu majeur, pour les salariés comme pour les fonctionnaires, pour les jeunes qui ont momentanément quitté leurs études pour se consacrer à une activité professionnelle comme pour des personnes licenciées qui cherchent un emploi ou encore pour tous ceux qui souhaitent donner une nouvelle impulsion à leur carrière professionnelle. De nombreux dispositifs permettent désormais à ces publics de reprendre des études ou d'obtenir un diplôme par la voie de la Validation d'Acquis d'Expériences, par exemple.
C'est un enjeu majeur pour l'université d'être présente sur cette mission, de proposer des mesures accessibles, simples et innovantes, avec un accompagnement personnalisé. À ce titre, c'est une véritable mission de service public qui nous incombe.
Ce numéro lui est essentiellement consacré ; il permet de souligner l'engagement des services administratifs de l'université (Direction de la formation continue en particulier) dans l'accompagnement des personnes qui souhaitent être formées, mais aussi la forte implication des enseignants-chercheurs, enseignants et personnels administratifs et techniques, qui construisent ces parcours spécifiques et font connaître les atouts de notre établissement. Accompagnement... c'est aussi un maître-mot pour l'Université de Limoges au moment de la rentrée universitaire. L'accent est mis cette année sur l'accueil des nouveaux entrants, des personnels mais aussi des étudiants. L'échec en première année est bien souvent dû à un défaut de prise de conscience du travail à effectuer dans les études supérieures, à un sentiment d'isolement au milieu d'amphis, à une incapacité à organiser son travail, et parfois à une solitude personnelle lors de l'arrivée dans une autre ville. Tout est donc mis en place pour accueillir les étudiants, au cours des mois de septembre et octobre, pour une meilleure intégration... et une meilleure réussite !
