Rethinking learning spaces in a digital age: an example from Singapore

I would have liked a little more detail though about the technology within the spaces, such as screens for sharing work. It will be interesting to see if the design actually leads to changes in teaching methods, or whether faculty try to impose the hierarchical model of lecturing on these spaces. More...

Foreign students not worth the cost: principal

Breaking News, World News and Taiwan News.By Amy Chyan. National Sun Yat-sen University's (中山大學) principal, Yang Hung-duen (楊弘敦) said recently that the more foreign students who are registered for classes at Taiwanese universities, the more money the government and universities lose.
According to reports, a student studying at a public university in Taiwan costs the government at least NT$300,000 and NT$150,000 at a private university.
In comparison, the yearly tuition fee required from foreign students is only NT$100,000, reports said. More...
