Le classement des universités françaises

Par Aude Bariéty. Exit les prestigieux établissements parisiens: au petit jeu de la réussite en licence, l’université d’Angers gagne haut la main. A la lecture des indicateurs 2014 publiés par le secrétariat d’Etat à l’Enseignement supérieur et à la Recherche, l’établissement angevin peut légitimement s’enorgueillir de ses statistiques: 57% de taux de passage en L2 et 59,1% de réussite en licence en trois ans. L’université Lyon 2 (50,7% et 60,5%) et l’institut national universitaire Champollion Nord-Est Midi-Pyrénées (51,8% et 54,7%) obtiennent également un satisfecit. Suite...

Does teaching advance your Academic career? Academy develops new template for evaluation

A template for evaluating teaching achievement, responds to concerns that without adequate recognition for teaching and curriculum development duties, lecturers have little incentive to put time and effort into improving the experience of university students. Despite the significant role teaching plays in most academics’ schedules, only 12% of academic staff surveyed by the Academy reported that it was a ‘very important’ promotion criteria in their university. Research, on the other hand, was seen as a ‘very important’ promotion criteria by 97% of respondents. More...

Latest University Rankings from Pakistan

These are the fifth set of rankings since 2006. There are 47 criteria divided into five groups: Quality Assurance (with a weighting of 15%), Teaching Quality (30%), Research (41%), Finance and Facilities (10%), and Social Integration/Community Development (4%).
