« En avril 2015, l’IGAS a été saisie d’une demande de mission relative à l’expérimentation dans le secteur de l’insertion par l’activité économique (IAE) par le ministre du travail, de l’emploi, de la formation professionnelle et du dialogue social.
En 2013, on dénombre 3 822 structures d’insertion par l’activité économique (SIAE) conventionnées par les DIRECCTE (directions régionales des entreprises, de la concurrence, de la consommation, du travail et de l’emploi) : entreprises d’insertion (EI), entreprises de travail temporaire d’insertion (ETTI), associations intermédiaires (AI), ateliers et chantiers d’insertion (ACI)… »
