La Conférence mondiale UNESCO sur l'éducation au développement durable adopte la déclaration d'Aïchi-Nagoya et lance le Plan d'Action Global (GAP)
L'Association internationale des universités a représentés ses Membres lors de cette Conférence qui célébrait la fin de la Décennie pour l'éducation au développement durable et lançait les initiatives pour sa suite.
L'AIU a fortement souligné l'importance du rôle de l'enseignement supérieur pour la mise en œuvre d'un développement durable pour aujourd'hui et demain. L'AIU était co-organisatrice de la Conférence internationale sur l'enseignement supérieur pour le développement durable et était présente sur de nombreux panels lors de la Conférence mondiale UNESCO sur l'éducation au développement durable; elle était en charge de la sesssion sur 'Enseignement supérieur et Recherche' au service du développement durable.
Ces conférences internationale et mondiale ont eu lieu les 9 et les 10 au 12 novembre 2014, à Nagoya.

The UNESCO World Conference on Education for Sustainable Development (WC-ESD) adopts the Aichi-Nagoya Declaration and launches the Global Action Programme.
The International Association of Universities represented its Members and strongly advocated for higher education for sustainable development at both the International Conference on Higher Education for Sustainable Development, which it helped organise, and the UNESCO World Conference on Education for Sustainable Development!, during which IAU spoke on a variety of pannels besides co-organising the Workshop on Higher education and Research.
Both Conferences took place in Nagoya, Japan, on 9 and on 10 to 12 November 2014!
