Consequences scary for unpaid student loans

Fortunately, the B.C. government does not need Brasi; it has the Insurance Corp. of B.C. U.S. Panel Begins to Draft Rules on Loan Repayment

HomeA federal panel on Tuesday began a set of negotiations aimed at drafting new regulations to expand the availability of income-based student loan repayment to more borrowers. The negotiated rule-making committee, which the U.S. Education Department announced in December, is charged with carrying out President Obama's June 2014 memorandum that would make an additional 5 million existing student loan borrowers eligible for the federal government’s most generous income-based repayment program, Pay as You Earn. Government votes for increased student debt

By Courtney Sloane (NTEU National Office). The Abbott Government has voted again to saddle future generations with increasing debt after passing its higher education changes through the House of Representatives today.
“Politicians, many of whom received a free university education, have voted for changes that would see many students pay over $100,000 for a degree. This is intergenerational theft in the extreme,” said Jeannie Rea, NTEU National President.

Le prêt garanti par l'État - 25.02.2015

Afin de faciliter l’accès des étudiants à l’emprunt, un système de prêts bancaires garantis par l’État a été mis en place pour tous les étudiants qui le souhaitent. Ce prêt ne fait l'objet d'aucune demande de caution ou de conditions de ressources. Le dispositif concerne la Société générale, le Crédit Mutuel, le C.I.C., les Banques populaires et les Caisses d'épargne du groupe B.P.C.E.

46 129 : nombre de prêts accordés depuis 2008
378 000 000 euros : montant total des prêts accordés depuis 2008
8 200 euros : montant moyen accordé
6 ans : durée moyenne de l’emprunt

À noter
Les régions Ile-de-France (30% des étudiants), Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, et Rhône-Alpes ont été les trois premières utilisatrices du dispositif. Aujourd'hui il s'étend à toutes les régions françaises.

Conditions pour en bénéficier

  • être inscrit dans un établissement en vue de la préparation d’un concours ou d’un diplôme de l’enseignement supérieur français ;
  • être âgé de moins de 28 ans à la date de conclusion du prêt ;
  • être de nationalité française ou posséder la nationalité de l’un des Etats membres de l’UE ou de l’EEE à condition de justifier d’une résidence régulière ininterrompue en France depuis au moins 5 ans au moment de la conclusion du prêt. Voir l'article...
