Universitas 21, a network of 26 universities with headquarters at the University of Birmingham, has announced its latest rankings. The U21 Ranking of National Higher Education Systems is prepared by a team of researchers at the University of Melbourne. These are rankings not of universities but of entire higher education systems and are based on 25 indicators standardized for population size. The Moscow based company RUR Rankings Agency has produced a reputation ranking of international universities. The ranking is based on survey data collected by Thomson Reuters over the last six years and equal weighting is given to research reputation and postgraduate teaching reputation. The Leiden Ranking is produced by the Centre for Science and Technology Studies (CWTS) at Leiden University.
