Ranking of Russian Universities
"Expert RA" rating agency prepared the second annual ranking of Russian universities. A comprehensive survey included the statistics analysis and large-scale interviews with more than 4,000 respondents: employers, representatives of the academic and scientific community, students and graduates and was carried out with support of ‘Volnoye Delo’ Oleg Deripaska Foundation.
Lomonosov Moscow State University, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Saint Petersburg State University, and National Research Nuclear University ‘MEPhI’ are on top of the ranking. More...
World University Rankings 2012-2013 published last week
By Marielk. Last week the most recent set of World University Rankings was published. So, the top 10 includes Caltech, Oxford, Stanford, Harvard, MIT, Princeton, Cambridge, Imperial College of London, UC Berkeley, and Chicago. In essence the same list than last year with just Oxford and Stanford changing their places. The first non-US/non-UK institution was ETZ Zürich on 12th place. Read more...

Le Times Higher Education révèle son classement des universités mondiales
Le Times Higher Education publie la 10ème édition de son classement des universités mondiales. Alors que 8 établissements français figurent dans les 200 de ce classement, la France demeure bien loin des pays anglo-saxons et une seule université non anglo-saxonne se classe dans le top 20.
Les meilleures universités françaises
Même si les universités françaises se retrouvent loin derrière les universités anglo-saxonnes, elles sont tout de même 8 à figurer dans ce top 200. Mais parmi ces 8 universités qui demeurent dans le classement, cinq perdent des places. En effet, en tête de classement des universités françaises, nous retrouvons l’Ecole Normale Supérieure qui perd 6 places et se retrouve à la 65ème place du top 200. L’école polytechnique, elle, perd 8 places et se positionne à la 72ème place. Nous retrouvons également l’université Pierre et Marie Curie qui perd 15 places et se place à la 96ème place ainsi que l’université Paris-Diderot qui perd 12 places et s’installe à la 178ème place du classement. Enfin Paris-Sud s’inscrit aussi dans cette lignée de rétrogradation, puisqu’elle se positionne à la 114ème place, perdant ainsi 22 places. Article entier...

Classement des meilleures universités mondiales: la France perd des places
Le Times Higher Education vient de révéler son classement des 400 meilleures universités mondiales. Parmi elles, seulement huit françaises, qui perdent des places… Une tendance généralisée à l'Europe, hormis la Grande-Bretagne, qui parvient à tirer son épingle du jeu, restant le dauphin des Etats-Unis.
Les classements se suivent… et se ressemblent ! Après le classement de Shanghai notamment, le Times Higher Education vient de révéler son classement des 200 meilleures universités - 400 sur tout le palmarès. Et la grande majorité d'entre elles sont… anglo-saxonnes. New University Rankings Show Asian Rise and Australian Slip
By Bella Counihan. Australia’s top universities are losing ground as Asian universities are on the rise, according to the latest university rankings out today.
The results from the Times Higher Education (THE) world university rankings has seen seven Australian universities in the top 300 going backwards from last year. Only two universities in the top 100 improved their position with the University of Queensland going up two spots (to 63) and Monash by eight (to 91).
University of Melbourne is still ranked the top institution amongst Australian universities but has slipped from 28th to 34th. While runner up, the Australian National University has gone from 37th to 48th. Read more...
