'The Atlantic' Revises Article on CUNY

HomeThe Atlantic has issued a more than 300-word correction to an article on admissions to four-year institutions in the City University of New York (CUNY). What’s Missing From the Debate on Obama’s Free Community-College Plan

By . Next week, when the president re-announces his “free community college” plan during the State of the Union address, I’d like to see him add a sentence about the teachers.
They’ve been missing in the White House language promoting the plan. None of the critics, even those who have said mean things about community colleges, have mentioned the plight of part-time community-college teachers. Standard & Poor’s Issues Negative Outlook for Nonprofit Higher Education

Standard & Poor’s Rating Services has issued a negative outlook for nonprofit higher education for 2015, citing, among other things, tension between rising costs to colleges and a focus on student affordability.
