MMU launches film to help students from 'non-traditional backgrounds' step into HE
Researchers at Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) have produced a film, funded by QAA, which they hope will enable students from low-income and disadvantaged backgrounds to adjust to teaching and learning in higher education.
The 22-minute film (opens in new window), which is result of a research project, Student Induction and Transition: Reciprocal Journeys, the third of three studies on transitions to higher education commissioned by QAA, focuses on MMU’s outreach work with students at a local sixth-form college.
