70% of foreign applicants decline attending Todai
Seventy percent of foreign students who passed the entrance examination of the University of Tokyo’s College of Arts and Sciences for a special course to start in the autumn of the 2014 school year declined to enroll, it has been learned.
The college granted admissions to 61 foreign applicants in the course for foreign students, but 41 of them declined to enroll at the nation’s top-notch university. Many of them are thought to have chosen other leading universities abroad. More...
