The latest edition of IAU Horizons (Vol. 20. No.1 and No.2) now available online

Front cover - ENG The In Focus section of the magazine includes 14 papers focusing on the theme: ICTs in education – revolution or evolution? Several focus more specifically on the issue of the MOOCS. The magazine also provides Report on the IAU 2014 International Conference, Iquitos, on the theme: Blending Higher Education and Traditional Knowledge for Sustainable Development and next steps, as well as a report on IAU Board Meeting, which took place in March 2014, at the Universidad Cientifica del Peru.
It also includes updates on recent IAU work and projects including for example, the IAU’s work on internationalization including the recently published report of the IAU 4th Global Survey, a report on a ISAS project recently completed with Meiji University, Japan, information about a special issue of HEP on innovative approaches to Doctoral Education in Africa (IDEA), the IAU HEEFA collaborative workshop, the LEADHER reports, amongst many other activities.
The magazine also lists the new Members of IAU, the Association’s latest publications and a selection of books received at the IAU. Gilles Breton (University of Ottawa, Canada) reviews the book Institutionalization of world-class university in global competition. The magazine concludes with a Calendar of Events.


Call for papers

The next issue of IAU Horizons (Vol.20 No.3) will report on IAU work and opportunities, present Members activities. The In Focus section will be on Higher Education and the Post 2015 Education and Development Agendas.
