The International Association of Universities (IAU) recently held its annual conference in Kuala Lumpur with a focus on partnerships for societal impact. In 2019 for the first time Erasmus Mundus opens up to a new partnership model in the form of a joint call EU-Japan. The purpose of the joint call will be to select excellent consortia of European and Japanese universities to develop highly integrated joint master programmes and offer scholarships to students.
