US: Is academic freedom threatened by China's influence on American Universities?
US Parliament has recently drawn its attention on the academic overseas ties with countries like China and their pressure on foreign academics and institutions. On 4 December a US House of Representatives sub-committee began a hearing questioning whether American universities and schools are accepting restrictions on foundational principles of American academic freedom in order to be able to build campuses in China and to attract Chinese-government entities on their campuses. Fusion d'UbiFrance et de l'AFII dans nouvelle agence Business France
Une ordonnance consacre la fusion de l’Agence française pour les investissements internationaux et d’UbiFrance annoncée en 17 février 2014 (lire le rapport).
Dès le 1er janvier 2015, la nouvelle agence baptisée "Business France" aura pour mission d’aider les PME et les entreprises de taille intermédiaire (ETI) à mieux se projeter à l’international, et d’attirer davantage d’investisseurs étrangers en France pour y créer ou y reprendre des activités créatrices d’emplois.
La rationalisation des moyens et le rapprochement des équipes servent également les objectifs assignés à l’Agence, un tiers des exportations étant le fait de filiales d’entreprises étrangères.
Business France assumera également une fonction centrale de communication sur l’attractivité et l’image de la France et de ses territoires.
