European Universities Initiative: results of the first pilot call released

Out of 54 applications, 17 networks involving 114 higher education institutions from 25 countries have been selected for funding. Each of them will receive up to €5 million over the next three years. The selected networks are diverse in terms of scope, thematic focus and institutional profiles and they involve on average seven higher education institutions from different parts of Europe. Hungary: EUA condemns law tightening control on scientific research bodies

On 2 July 2019, the Hungarian Parliament passed a law giving the government more control over scientific research bodies. Une présidence finlandaise du Conseil de l'Union européenne, pourquoi faire ?

La Finlande assure depuis le 1er juillet 2019 la présidence du Conseil pour le second semestre 2019, à la suite de la Roumanie (voir Une présidence roumaine pour le Conseil de l'Union européenne, en attendant le programme et Rien sur l'ESS dans le programme de la présidence roumaine du Conseil de l'Union Européenne), dans cette curieuse rotation semestrielle dont la rationalité n'en finissent pas d'interroger.
