Increasing higher education enrolment rates requires a ‘growth mindset’

By Sharon Dell – Africa Editor. In Africa Analysis, Steve Sharra argues that a mindset shift is needed if Malawi is to increase its higher education enrolment rate and meet its sustainable development targets.
   In Africa Features, Tunde Fatunde canvasses responses to the Nigerian government’s puzzling announcement of the dates for the screening examinations for university candidates – examinations which were put on hold by a court order earlier this year; while Munyaradzi Makoni examines a recent report by the Academy of Science of South Africa which calls for a ‘reconceptualisation’ of healthcare education and training in South Africa.
