Students launch campaign to fight corporate universities

Tonight, five peak student bodies representing students across Australia will be launching the campaign Our Education in Our Hands. The National Union of Students (NUS), Council of Australian Postgraduate Students (CAPA), National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Postgraduate Association (NATSIPA), Union of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Students (UATSIS) and the Council of International Students Australia (CISA) have teamed up to advocate for a vision for higher education that serves the public interest rather than private profits.
