Higher Education Bill: Why people are angry

The bill, which is the baby of Universities minister Jo Johnson, will allow fees to increase in line with inflation, that’s just a part of what opponents object to. Institutions will have to sign up to a system to test their teaching quality in order to get the extra money, and new “challengers” will be allowed into the sector much more quickly. More...
