Youth unemployment and job quality in times of crisis : a European overview

In the vast majority of countries, the rise in youth unemployment to unprecedented levels between 2006 and 2012 was accompanied by a deterioration in job quality. Thus unemployment and capability unfriendlyjobs evolved in conjunction with each other, such that no country experienced a decline in unemployment at the cost of a deterioration in job quality from a capability perspective.
