The Death of the Informational Meeting

The Streaming March Madness Class Button

This button quickly switches the streaming basketball game to a fake learning management system (LMS). The Class button is now one of the options for the “Boss Button” - with other options being “Work” (a pretend PowerPoint) and “Home” (a fake search box). Read more...

China: The Looming Crisis

The prediction that China’s economy is heading for a major melt-down is starting to have a substantial effect on its academy. Estimates of the country’s debt – that is debt that is basically unrecoverable – range from $1.75 trillion to $3.5 trillion, and even the lesser figure is larger than the total amount of capital in the banking system—around $1.5 trillion. Math Geek Mom: In the Fast Lane

In Calculus, the first derivative of position can describe how quickly an object’s position is changing over time. A more common way to describe this is to talk about “velocity”, or how fast something is moving. Report on SAE Chant, and Other Racial Issues at Duke

HomeA black woman who is a student at Duke University reported to officials there that last weekend a group of while male students taunted her with the racist chant used by a University of Oklahoma fraternity. That accusation has led to a larger debate at Duke. A group called the People of Color Caucus issued an online statement that said that the chant was not an "isolated incident" but part of a pattern of racist incidents at Duke and elsewhere. Police: No Evidence to Back 'Rolling Stone' Article

HomeCharlottesville, Va., police announced Monday that they have been unable to find any evidence of the 2012 fraternity gang rape alleged last year in an article in Rolling Stone.
