5 December: International launch of fourth UNESCO Global Report on Adult Learning and Education
On 5 December 2019, the fourth Global Report on Adult Learning and Education (GRALE 4) will be launched in Brussels, Belgium. Based on data from 159 countries, the report assesses global progress in adult learning and education (ALE). The focus of this fourth edition of the report is participation in ALE from the perspective of equity and inclusion. UNESCO adopts new Strategy for Youth and Adult Literacy for 2020 to 2025
On 15 November 2019 at UNESCO’s 40th General Conference in Paris, the Member States agreed to adopt a new UNESCO Strategy for Youth and Adult Literacy (2020-2025).
