This project responds to the demand for better policy and practice, in enhancing the contribution that adult education can make in Europe in the 21st century and in meeting the Europe 2020 targets on employment, poverty reduction, education, sustainability, innovation. Social inequality is growing in Europe. It is urgent to adopt research-based policies providing guidance in shaping the transition towards a just, socially inclusive society.
European Union’s future is increasingly depending on the young generations, who have to cope with the responsibility of an aging population.
