This year’s Nobel Prize for Chemistry has been won jointly by Jean-Pierre Sauvage from the University of Strasbourg, Bernard Feringa from the University of Groningen and J. Fraser Stoddart from Northwestern University.

From 20 to 21 October 2016, the Magna Charta Observatory, together with the University of Sao Paulo and the University of Bologna, is organising a conference that will focus on “Reducing social inequalities, the role of universities.”
The event will commemorate the 28th Anniversary of the Magna Charta Universitatum and for the first time will take place outside Europe at the University of Sao Paulo in Brazil. The deadline to register for the event is 30 September 2016.
