Central European University under threat
Proposed legislation is under discussion in the Hungarian Parliament that would endanger the existence of the Central European University (CEU), a unique and valued IAU member based in Budapest. The legislation would limit CEU’s autonomy and among other things, prevent it from delivering US degrees and hiring international faculty.
