L’AIU félicite l’Association des Universités Africaines pour la célébration de son 50e jubilé qui se tiendra la semaine prochaine lors de la 14e Conférence Générale de l’AUA à Accra au Ghana. L’association a traversé de grands changements depuis sa création en 1967. Elle s’est largement développée et offre désormais un soutien à de nombreux établissements à travers le continent. La première réunion du Conseil d’Administration présidé par Pam Fredman a eu lieu les 11 et 12 avril à Paris. Le Comité exécutif de l'AIU ainsi que les groupes de travail sur les différentes priorités thématiques (notamment l'internationalisation, le développement durable et les TICs), ont été mis en place afin de promouvoir et guider le travail de l’AIU. L’AIU a également eu le plaisir d’accueillir Monsieur David Atchoarena, Directeur de la Division pour les politiques et les systèmes d'apprentissage tout au long de la vie à l’UNESCO, afin de renforcer la collaboration essentielle entre l'AIU et l'UNESCO. IAU congratulates the Association of African Universities on its 50th Jubilee Anniversary celebrated next week during the 14th AAU General Conference in Accra, Ghana. The Association has been through tremendous change since its creation in 1967. It is now flourishing and offering support to a great variety of institutions throughout the continent. More...The first Administrative Board meeting chaired by the newly elected president, Pam Fredman, took place on 11 - 12 April in Paris. The IAU Executive Committee and Working groups were established to promote and steer the activities of the Association in the respective priorities areas such as internationalization, sustainable development and ICTs. IAU was also pleased to receive David Atchoarena, Director, Division for Policies and Lifelong Learning Systems at UNESCO, for part of the meeting reinforcing the important collaboration among the IAU and UNESCO.
