83rd meeting of the IAU Administrative Board in Paris

The first Administrative Board meeting chaired by the newly elected president, Pam Fredman, took place on 11 - 12 April in Paris. The IAU Executive Committee and Working groups were established to promote and steer the activities of the Association in the respective priorities areas such as internationalization, sustainable development and ICTs. IAU was also pleased to receive David Atchoarena, Director, Division for Policies and Lifelong Learning Systems at UNESCO, for part of the meeting reinforcing the important collaboration among the IAU and UNESCO.
