Norway: foreign qualifications recognition

Home The Norwegian Agency for Quality Assurance in education (NOKUT) has started recognising foreign vocational education and training (VET) certificates and diplomas, as of the end of 2016. These certificates are assessed according to scope, level and content of comparable Norwegian trade and journeyman certificates at NQF level 4. Portugal: new study on professional programmes

Home A longitudinal study, published in August 2018, measured the success rate (percentage of learners completing the programme in three years) of professional programmes, (cursos Profissionais). It examined the number of learners that failed to complete the programmes, the number of student transfers to other programmes, and the dropout rate. The study concluded that the success rate of professional programmes increased from 53% in 2014/15 to 60% in 2016/17. More...

Slovenia: learning materials for VET

Home The joint financing is based on an annual overview of the needs for VET learning materials, prepared by the Institute of the Republic of Slovenia for VET (CPI).  CPI coordinates the preparation of new learning materials, in cooperation with publishers selected by public tender. The government funds authors, while the selected publisher takes care of editing, printing and distribution. Up to 10 titles can be prepared yearly, depending on the volume and complexity of the content. More...

#CedefopPhotoAward 2018 exhibition opens in Thessaloniki

Home #CedefopPhotoAward 2018 received photo stories from 100 teams consisting of over 300 learners and 81 teachers/trainers from 78 vocational education and training (VET) providers in 18 EU Member States. Des organismes de formation pourront ainsi dispenser des actions de formation par apprentissage sous réserve que leurs statuts mentionnent expressément cette activité et qu’ils respectent, outre la réglementation applicable aux prestataires de formation, les règles spécifiques régissant les CFA (ensemble des missions, création d’un conseil de perfectionnement, habilitation par les certificateurs à délivrer les diplômes, apposition sur la façade de la devise de la République, du drapeau tricolore et du drapeau européen…).
