Iran keen to have more Malaysian students

Iran is keen to collaborate with Malaysian universities to attract more Malaysians to study in that country, which currently stands at only 15, as compared to some 5,000 Iranian students in Malaysia.
Scientific Counsellor and Director of Iranian Students in East Asia, Dr Abbas Ghanbari said he was ready to facilitate and help connect any Malaysian university to the best universities in Iran, and welcomed proposals for such collaboration.
Speaking to Bernama in an interview at the Iranian Embassy here recently, he said language should not be a problem as the students could take up courses to learn the Persian language. More...

Global online college courses: A career booster?

Four years after the debut of free online courses from elite universities, the statistics on this unprecedented digital outreach to the world are staggering. Coursera, a leading platform for these courses, reports 15 million people globally have registered on the education Web site that distributes free interactive content from 120 institutions. They are not all just browsers and dabblers. The company counts 2.5 million “course completers.”

Cette étude se base sur une enquête menée auprès de 1 902 personnes.

Conférence régionale sur l'emploi et le handicap psychique

Logo de l'Agence Régionale de la Formation tout au long de la vie (ARFTLV Poitou-charentes)Avec la loi de février 2005, l’accompagnement des personnes en situation de handicap a fortement progressé. Toutefois, on observe une augmentation du nombre de reconnaissances du handicap psychique et les employeurs peuvent être parfois démunis (face à ce handicap invisible), dans la gestion de leurs ressources et dans leur organisation de travail.
Le handicap psychique est un handicap évolutif qui apparaît essentiellement au cours de la vie d’adulte. Le cadre professionnel se trouve impacté par l’arrivée ou l’évolution de cette maladie, et le maintien dans l’emploi des personnes concernées s’avère compliqué.
Pour tenter de répondre aux questions et aux besoins des employeurs, l’ARFTLV met en place une Conférence régionale d’échanges de pratiques et de réflexions sur le thème « Emploi et handicap psychique » le lundi 16 novembre 2015 de 9h00 à 16h30 dans les locaux de l’Ecole Supérieure du Professorat et de l’Education (ESPE - Campus universitaire - 5 rue Shirin Ebadi) à Poitiers.
