La revalorisation du Smic au 1er janvier 2017 - 55,2 % de femmes parmi les 1,65 million de salariés concernés

Au 1er janvier 2017, 1,65 million de salariés des entreprises du secteur concurrentiel (hors apprentis, stagiaires et intérimaires) ont été concernés par la revalorisation du Smic horaire, soit 10,6 % des salariés (après 10,5 % au 1er janvier 2016). Au 1er janvier 2017 le Smic a été revalorisé de 0,9 % (après +0,6 % au 1er janvier 2016).
La proportion des bénéficiaires de la revalorisation du Smic entre le 1er janvier 2016 et le 1er janvier 2017 progresse ou reste stable dans les branches ou secteurs d’activité relevant de l’industrie ou la construction. Elle se replie dans quelques branches ou secteurs des services.
La part des bénéficiaires de la revalorisation du Smic reste beaucoup plus élevée pour les salariés à temps partiel (24,2 % contre 7,5 % des salariés à temps complet) et dans les entreprises de petite taille (de 31,3 % pour celles de 1 salarié à 4,5 % pour celles de 500 salariés ou plus).
55,2 % des salariés concernés par la hausse du Smic sont des femmes (après 56,6 % en 2016), et même près de 63 % dans les entreprises de 500 salariés ou plus, alors qu’elles représentent moins de la moitié des salariés, y compris dans les grandes entreprises.
À la veille de cette revalorisation, 11 % des branches présentaient un premier niveau de grille inférieur au Smic en vigueur depuis le 1er janvier 2016. À l’issue de la revalorisation du 1er janvier 2017, 52 % des branches se sont retrouvées non conformes au Smic, du fait d’un premier niveau de grille trop faible.
