Un élève sur cinq entré en sixième en 2007 est diplômé d'un bac professionnel. La moitié d'entre eux ont obtenu ce diplôme sans avoir connu de redoublement dans leur scolarité. Six bacheliers professionnels sur dix poursuivent leurs études l'année post-bac et la moitié d'entre eux s'orientent en section de techniciens supérieurs (S.T.S.). Le parcours scolaire et la mention obtenue au baccalauréat sont déterminants dans leur poursuite d'études et leur réussite.
