At Harvard, 'too Jewish' has become 'too Asian'

Starting back in the 1970s, officials at America’s more selective colleges and universities began using racial preferences to increase the percentages of certain minority group students on campus. Preferences for certain groups, however, also means preferences against others.

Higher ed spending gap narrows between state, federal government

Submitted by Stefanie Botelho. Between 1987 and 2012, states provided an average of 65 percent more funding for higher education than the federal government. But according to a new report by Pew Charitable Trust, that gap has narrowed considerably since the recession, with federal funding on the rise as state funding declines.

Chris Christie's no fan of free college

Le Gouvernement salue une étape décisive dans la mise en œuvre d'une solution garantissant l'avenir de la L.M.D.E.

L’Autorité de contrôle prudentiel et de résolution (A.C.P.R.) a décidé mardi 30 juin d’autoriser la résiliation de la convention de substitution entre la L.M.D.E. et la MGEN (mutuelle générale de l’éducation nationale), sous réserve de la prise d’effet au 1er janvier 2016 d’une nouvelle convention de substitution entre la L.M.D.E. et Intériale Mutuelle.
