Les 17 et 18 janvier prochains auront lieu les Journées Vincent Merle à Pessac (33), tout juste 15 ans après la loi de modernisation sociale. C'est justement sous l'impulsion de Vincent Merle, alors directeur du cabinet de la secrétaire d'État à la formation professionnelle Nicole Péry, que les acquis de l'expérience ont été formalisés - la loi a été baptisée "loi VAE". Elle portait sur la valorisation de l'expérience professionnelle (activités salariées, non salariées ou bénévoles), en vue de l'obtention d'une certification.
Ces Journées s'inscrivent dans le prolongement de l'UFEO (Université de la Formation, de l'Education et de l'Orientation), qui a connu 20 éditions entre 1994 et 2015. Elles gardent l'esprit initial de l'UFEO : à la fois colloque annuel et lieu de rencontre pour les acteurs de terrain, décideurs publics, représentants économiques et associatifs, responsables syndicaux, chercheurs, universitaires et étudiants - tous acteurs de la relation entre formation et emploi. En hommage à Vincent Merle, président d'Aquitaine Cap Métiers jusqu'à son décès en 2013, les Journées traiteront cette année de la thématique suivante : Valeurs de l'expérience : Rôles et usages dans la construction des compétences.
