Emploi, non-emploi : une analyse femmes-hommes

Carif Oref Midi-Pyrénées"Les taux de chômage des femmes et des hommes se sont depuis quelques années rapprochés, celui des hommes venant même très récemment dépasser celui des femmes. Cela signifie-t-il que la question spécifique de l’accès à l’emploi des femmes ne se pose plus ? Ce document de travail montre comment, derrière cet indicateur du taux de chômage, se cachent pourtant d’importantes disparités de situations sur le marché du travail entre femmes et hommes. Huit situations, de l’emploi à temps complet à l’inactivité, sont distinguées et quantifiées, par sexe, âge, diplôme et configuration familiale. L’analyse économétrique montre que, toutes choses égales par ailleurs, les femmes sont plus présentes que les hommes dans le chômage, son « halo » et l’inactivité et conclut à la persistance des inégalités d’accès à l’emploi des femmes malgré l’élévation de leur niveau d’études."

Employers and Business Groups Target Gender Equity Reporting in Review
