Rentrée à Quimper. Les étudiants invités à se bouger !

Par Cathy Tymen. Après les écoliers et les lycéens, c'est au tour des étudiants de faire leur rentrée. Ils sont 5.000 à avoir choisi la ville de Quimper pour y poursuivre leurs études. Pour les accueillir, Quimper-Agglomération et la Fédé B ont prévu un programme d'animations en septembre. Et montrer ainsi que Quimper est aussi une ville étudiante. Voir l'article...

Boulogne : l’Université du littoral à l’heure de l’«auberge espagnole»

Par Daniel Bodart. Une vingtaine d’étudiants étrangers viennent de faire leur rentrée à l’ULCO (Université du littoral de la Côte d’Opale). Ils ont été accueillis dans le cadre du projet Erasmus et d’une convention France-Corée du Sud.

Fragments of world's oldest Koran may predate Muhammad

British scholars have suggested that fragments of the world's oldest known Koran, which were discovered last month, may predate the accepted founding date of Islam by the Muslim Prophet Muhammad, reports FoxNews.com.
The Times of London reported that radiocarbon dating carried out by experts at the University of Oxford says the fragments were produced between the years 568 AD and 645 AD. Muhammad is generally believed to have lived between 570 AD and 632 AD. The man known to Muslims as The Prophet is thought to have founded Islam sometime after 610 AD, with the first Muslim community established at Medina, in present-day Saudi Arabia, in 622 AD. BRICS academic collaboration moves forward – slowly
