Voir l'article...

The big decision: Which university is for you?

By Stephen Downes - Stephen's Web. The big decision: Which university is for you?
Ash Kelly, Globe, Mail, 2015/11/05

The Globe and Mail ranking universities is a bit like Donald Trump ranking cars: they've been in one once, but they don't really know how they work nor how well they perform on a day-to-day basis. But oh my, they have opinions. More...

What Canadians Think About Universities, and Where Canadian Universities Want To Go

Résultat de recherche d'images pour "higheredstrategy.com logo"By Alex Usher. A couple of quick notes about two interesting things from Universities Canada this week.
The first is the release of some public opinion polling, which they commissioned in the spring, regarding universities and other forms of higher education.  You can see the whole thing here, but I want to highlight a couple of slides, in particular. More...

Is the Whole Just a Collection of Parts?

http://www.insidehighered.com/sites/default/server_files/styles/blog_landing/public/the_world_view_blog_header.jpg?itok=P3OlGEpQBy Liz Reisberg. There seems to be a growing trend to deconstruct the traditional university degree in favor of an amalgam of separate pieces.  This trend further complicates the current debate about what a university degree should represent.
