L’Alliance européenne pour l’apprentissage (EAfA) constitue une plateforme unique qui rassemble des Etats et d'autres acteurs clés tels que des entreprises, les partenaires sociaux, des chambres de commerce, l’enseignement et la formation professionnelle (EFP), les régions, des représentants des jeunes ou des groupes de réflexion.
L'objectif commun est de renforcer la qualité, l'offre, l'image de l'apprentissage en Europe, et depuis peu, la mobilité des apprentis prend une place plus importante.
Par ailleurs, la première enquête en ligne auprès des parties prenantes a révélé l'importance croissante de la mobilité dans le cadre de l'apprentissage.
Cette Alliance a été lancée en juillet 2013 par une déclaration commune des Partenaires Sociaux européens (CES, BUSINESSEUROPE, UEAPME et CEEP), de la Commission européenne et de la présidence du Conseil de l’UE. Elle a été suivie par une déclaration du Conseil par les pays de l’UE. Several of those models, as well as U.S. initiatives, were highlighted this week in a plenary session at the American Association of Community Colleges’ Workforce Development Institute.
There is growing recognition that apprenticeships are not separate from career and technical education (CTE) or the rest of the work done at community colleges, said James Jacobs, president of Macomb Community College in Michigan.
