Ce cours est destiné à des étudiants ayant déjà acquis les bases et qui veulent perfectionner leur connaissances en travaillant sur des textes authentiques.
Les extraits que nous allons étudier porteront sur des thèmes variés: des sourates du Coran, des textes de Mille et une nuit, des passages du Livre des Couvents de Al-Chabouchti Kitab al-diyaraat (11ème siècle).

Shocking Secrets Revealed! What Big Libraries Pay for Big Deals

For some time, librarians have questioned the wisdom of agreeing to confidentiality agreements when signing expensive subscription licenses, but many publishers seem to think they’re essential to their business practices. In 2009, Elsevier even went to court to try and stop scholars finding out what a public universities was spending on Science Direct using Washingon state's open records law. The publisher’s argument that prices were a trade secret, and such secrecy benefited libraries failed to impress the judge, who dismissed their lawsuit with prejudice. Finally we’re seeing the fruits of FOIAs in a new article recently published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. On Not Working
By Lee Skallerup Bessette. Right now, I’m waiting to start my new job (July 1!). It’s taking every ounce of my being not to start working on my new job before it actually starts. Of course, it’s a nice “problem” to have. But it’s really made me reflect on how much work higher ed asks us to perform when we’re not actually getting paid, or even started our jobs.
