From August to December last year, Alessandro Ford was enrolled as a student at the Kim Il-sung University in the North Korean capital. The 18-year-old is thought to be the first western student who ever went to college there.

MOOC development more expensive than many think

They tuned out during PowerPoints, paid closer attention to fast-talking lecturers, stayed engaged for the duration of short videos but stopped watching longer ones, appreciated pauses to decipher complicated content, and responded best to MOOC content created specifically for online delivery.
