De nouvelles règles pour attirer étudiants, chercheurs et stagiaires de pays tiers dans l'Union Européenne

Le Parlement européen a donné mercredi 11 mai 2016 son feu vert à une nouvelle législation visant à favoriser le séjour des chercheurs et étudiants étrangers dans l'Union Européenne (UE), mais aussi des stagiaires et travailleurs au pair, jusque là sans protection juridique.
Désormais, les étudiants et chercheurs pourront rester dans leur Etat membre d'accueil au moins neuf mois après avoir terminé leurs études ou contrats, afin de trouver un travail ou de créer leur propre entreprise. Voir l'article...

Invitation à un débat au Quai d'Orsay

A l’occasion de la journée mondiale de lutte contre l’homophobie et la transphobie, le ministère des affaires étrangères et du développement international a accueilli le 17 mai au Quai d’Orsay un débat sur le thème "Comment promouvoir l’égalité des droits ?", en présence d’associations et de militants de défense des droits des personnes lesbiennes, gays, bisexuels, transgenres et intersexes (LGBTI). Lancement du projet européen « HOPES »

Ce projet, mis en oeuvre par un consortium européen composé du DAAD (Chef de file), de Campus France, du British Council et de l'EP-Nuffic, vise à faciliter l’accès des réfugiés syriens à l’enseignement supérieur dans les pays voisins de la Syrie (Egypte, Irak, Jordanie, Liban et Turquie). Préparer la France à la mobilité internationale croissante des talents

Dans le contexte d'une mobilité croissante des travailleurs qualifiés et d'une concurrence accrue entre les pays pour attirer les talents, quelle est la position de la France ?
Les deux auteurs de cette Note du Conseil d'Analyse Economique livrent des éléments permettant de relativiser et contextualiser la "fuite des cerveaux", avec une expatriation moins marquée que chez nos voisins mais un solde migratoire négatif des "talents". Voir l'article...

ESN reacts to Eurobarometer 2016

The latest Eurobarometer report, European Youth in 2016, shows worrying trends concerning the mobility of young people. The survey conducted among 10,294 young Europeans aged 16-30 in the 28 Member States revealed that a striking 61% of respondents are not interested in intra-EU mobility for training, education or professional purposes. This is a significant increase compared to the 2011 EU Flash Barometer Youth on the Move which indicated that a mere 37% of non-mobile young people showed a lack of interest. More...
