Brauchen wir eine genderneutrale Sprache?

Von Tatjana Thamerus. Deutschland mag sich nicht gern geschlechtsneutral ausdrücken. Warum eigentlich? Andrea sitzt in der Kirche, wie jede Woche. Der Pfarrer spricht zur Gemeinde: „Meine Brüder und Schwestern...“ Ein normaler Gottesdienst, doch Andrea fühlt sich verletzt, missachtet: "Irgendwann konnte ich einfach nicht mehr hinhören."
Nach dem Training kommt eine Frau zu Kim und sagt: "Entschuldigen Sie, Frau Winkler…" Kim muss schlucken und fühlt einen stechenden Schmerz.
Andrea und Kim, beide heißen eigentlich anders, haben eines gemeinsam: Sie kommen in der deutschen Sprache nicht vor. Sie sind intersexuell. Jedes Mal, wenn sie angesprochen werden, bei jedem Formular, das sie ausfüllen, bei jedem Antrag, den sie stellen, sind sie unsichtbar. Mehr...

Les DRDFE deviennent directeurs régionaux aux droits des femmes et à l'égalité

Les délégués régionaux aux droits des femmes et à l'égalité deviennent des directeurs(trices) régionaux aux droits des femmes et à l'égalité. Les chargées de mission départementales s'appelent désormais déléguées départementales.
Le directeur régional pourra être assisté d'un ou plusieurs directeurs régionaux délégués.

Mustaches Outnumber Women Among Medical-School Leaders

In an effort to highlight the glass ceiling in medical education, a team of researchers looked at photographs of 1,018 department heads at the 50 medical schools receiving the most research funding from the National Institutes of Health.
